I just learned that Peter passed over a year ago and I send my condolences to his family. He was a great man and the best lawyer. I knew Peter for over 30 years and was fortunate to have Peter as a mentor. I tried my first federal criminal case with Peter and our client was acquitted. Peter taught me so much and am truly grateful for to have known him. Rest in Peace. Juan D. Berrio
Pete was as honorable a lawyer as I ever met. We were both involved in a very complicated case - but after it was over he promised to represent me for free if i was ever in real trouble. Before I recommended his services to a friend I checked for a local listing, and was shocked to find this news. A very fine man who is sorely missed!
I'm shocked to have just learned about Peter's passing. Peter and I were roommates at Tolber hall during my first year at the University of Florida. He taught me how to study and I credit him on doing well enough for me to gain admission into the U of F law school.
Peter's mom employed me our first summer break at Skipper Chuck Day Care Center. Peter and I were charged with picking up and taking home, at the end of the day, the kids from the school. One day Peter told me there was a "mom" on his route that he felt a strong connection with, Toni. He rearranged his route so he dropped off her children last so he would have time to talk to her. When he quit Univ. of Florida to move back to South Florida and be with Toni, I knew it was true love. I have since told his story with Toni many times in my life to many people to demonstrate a great love story.
