Our condolences to Sheila and family.
We were saddened to learn of Steve's passing just this week.
We will always cherish our fond memories together on Eaton's Neck with Steve, Sheila, and their lovely children, Seth and Sarane - especially when we went camping together in upstate New York. Our families were very good friends and had many good times together. I especially enjoyed working with Steve at Northport High School and owe him a measure of gratitude for all he did for me while we were teaching together.
We lift up our prayers for the Repose of Steve's Soul.

My condolences to Sheila and the family. I knew Steve when I was a teenager and involved in the Tallis N Tefillin Club at the East Northport Jewish Center. Steve was our adult advisor for a couple of years and did a wonderful job. I missed him a lot when the family left the synagogue, and I regret not getting back in touch over the years. Steve was one of the funniest people I ever met. I remember one trip the club took into Manhattan with Steve to go to a famous pickle store. We ate SO many pickles!!! And brought a ton of them back home with us. I was talking with my sister, Bev, last night about that trip, and I decided to look Steve up on the internet today, and found this memorial page. I'm so sorry for his loss, and that he had been ill for a long time. Wishing the family peace, good memories, time to grieve and to heal. -Sharon (née Weintraub) Abreu

Dear Sheila and family,
I was so saddened to hear of Steve’s passing and wanted to share my memorable times while living here in Tivoli Reserve with you and Steve.
I will always remember happier
times in your home on Jewish holidays and Steve’s famous brisket and latkes and of course the annual Super Bowl Party.
He always enjoyed gatherings of his friends, and was instrumental in starting the Italian American Club.
Where there was fun, food, and laughter, there was Steve and his gracious wife, Sheila.
He will always be remembered in my heart as a giving and happy friend.
