My treasured friend, I knew when I met you 40 odd years ago, when we were fellow grad students & eventually colleagues, that I had a friend for life. You were loving and kind, quick witted, and had such a beautiful smile. You were intelligent, a voracious reader. And you were so creative: every birthday or celebration turned into a fantastic theatrical production. You had such a zest for life. Your travels took you to places around the world. A few days before your passing, we talked for 2 hours, you recounting all the wonderful places you had visited. You helped me through some difficult times, my friend, and I am forever grateful.
