Fred was always so welcoming, friendly and kind to others. When my family joined the Temple I got to know a lot of the fellas through softball and Fred always made me feel like I was not only welcome but like I had always been a part of the family. He always had a smile and a kind word to say. The world is a better place because of Fred. My condolences go out to your family.

My deepest condolences to all of Fred's family.
It was my privilege to have worked for Fred in the mid-90's. As a boss, and as a human being, Fred was always smart, decent, kind-hearted and resolutely good-humored, though we worked in an environment that was often difficult and where there were many who did not share his excellent qualities.
It is my hope that, even amidst the sorrow at Fred's passing, you will all find comfort in the many warm memories of him that you keep in your hearts. May we all be so fortunate as to have such good souls in our lives.

It was my honor to report directly to Fred for several years while working for NYC Transit during the mid-90s. I will always remember him as a hard working man of high integrity. He was a wonderful and caring boss. He also had a fine sense of humor. A true mensch!
He will be sorely missed.
