Linda Sue (Rose) Pruskin, age 81, of Boynton Beach, FL passed away on May 9, 2022; daughter of predeceased Estelle (Block) and J. Louis Rose. She was the devoted wife of Harold Pruskin, beloved mother to Lauri (Pruskin) & Gary Kline, David Pruskin, and Marc & Michelle (Maloney) Pruskin, doting grandmother to Garrett, Avery, Toby, and Leo Pruskin, steadfast sister to Barry & Ellen (Zantz) Rose and Sharon (Rose) Leibovitz & Ed Gomez, loving aunt to Joshua Rose and Jason Gomez, and dear friend and family to many others. Linda was born in Baltimore, MD and fell in love with and married Harold, a cousin of her next door neighbor, after meeting him at the neighbor's son's Bar Mitzvah. She pursued studies at Baltimore Junior College as a Medical Technologist, and worked as a Hematologist and Phlebotomist. After marriage, they moved to the Boston area and raised a family in Framingham, MA. After retiring from many years at both the Framingham Union and Leonard Morse Hospitals, she moved with her husband to Boynton Beach, FL in 1996. She committed her life to loving and serving others in various capacities, and expressed Judaism through service to repair our broken world - tikkun olam. She taught her own children the value of community service by serving special needs individuals and helping young immigrant families through Jewish Family Services. She was an active participant in and president of B'nai B'rith. Earned a lifetime membership to Hadassah. Volunteered in Israel four times with the organization Sar-El. And, after retirement, she volunteered in the Boynton Beach area as a Patient Liaison in hospitals and nursing homes. She also assisted teachers in the classroom with autistic students. And ushered at the Kravis Center. When she wasn't volunteering, Linda spent a lot of her time with family; hosted and planned reunions, holiday feasts, and family gatherings; traveled; enjoyed sports (tennis, pickle ball, and bowling); played board games with friends (mahjong and canasta); and read fiction. Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 12, 2022, beginning at 11:30 AM at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, FL 33437. Rabbi Barry Silver will officiate. Burial will follow at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
