My dearest friend Norman,
I hope you're resting peacefully. In my heart, I know you are—because you were such a kind, generous soul who touched so many lives with your warmth and goodness. You truly touched mine, and not a day goes by that I don’t miss you.
I still find myself texting you sometimes... you always cared so much about what was going on in my life, and I loved sharing those moments with you. I wish I could tell you in person now—we had a baby boy. He was born just a day before your birthday. I know you would’ve been so happy to hear that.
Rest well, my dear friend. You’ll always be more than just a friend to me—you were like a brother, my family in every way that mattered. I’ll carry your memory and your love with me always.
I miss you deeply.

Dear Leslie,

I am very sorry to learn of Norman's passing. Few individuals influenced me more than he. So much of the success I enjoyed as an educator can be attributed to Norman's caring professionalism. As a supervisor, he was encouraging and profoundly promoted my advancement in the field of social studies education. It enabled attaining coveted professional development opportunities and accolades. For that I shall be eternally indebted. Norman often quoted Henry James, " A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops".

Norman's most endearing attribute was being a quintessential gentleman- a virtue now vritually extinct. He appeared respectful of diversity with special sensitivity for the full measure of each individual encoutered.

His generosity of spirit, sagacity, commitment and incandescent smile will be missed. We shall not see his like againl.

Dearest Leslie,
My deepest and sincere condolences to you. I know that Norman will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. It was kismet that brought you two together, when you began your career in September of 1997. Two Assistant Principals conversing at the meetings and phone calls. The rest is history. So many wonderful memories at BNCHS. He was always dressed to impress, with his top hats, scarves, dashing suits and his cane. He loved to travel and explore the world. So many adventures and wonderful experiences you both shared together are priceless. He was a such a caring and cultured individual. I love you both dearly.
May he rest in peace.

Dearest Leslie......I was so saddened to hear the news about Norman. Obviously, I owe him everything, as it was he who made sure that I safely landed in your care 9/1998 at BNCHS after being excessed from MVBHS 6/19198 where he was my greatest cheerleader and mentor as AP of Social Studies.
I send to you now my deepest sympathies, and hope that you are doing well.....the best that you can.....under such circumstances. Norman was a true force and I know the time you shared together must have been loaded with adventures and quests for trying to better understand this crazy world. He will be missed by all and I will forever have a special place in my heart for him and the tremendously positive impact he had on my professional life.
