Solomon Koved, 95 of Lantana, FL passed away on August 23, 2017. He was predeceased by Harriette, his wife of 54 years; Sylvia, his wife of 13 years and son Larry Wisch. He is survived by sons Lance (Joyce) Koved, and Alec (Dotty) Read Obituary
My condolences to the boys and their families, Sol loved you all so much. I remember Sol and I redecking and reroofing the garage on the house the temple owned next door. He was a joy to work with. I would enjoy his company for dinner when Harriette, of blessed memory, would leave him a note that she was going to NY and he was on his own for dinner. He was a kind and generous man and I truly missed him and Harriette when they moved from Cranford. A great man. May he rest in peace.
I am sorry to hear of the loss of Sol. I knew him for more than the thirty years that he edited First Days magazine for the American First Day Cover Society. He could be cantankerous at times but always had the best interests of the society and the hobby of first day cover collecting at heart. His knowledge and talent will be missed.Alan Warren
