Brother Abie was my hero growing up. Until he went on to college, we shared the same bedroom. I can remember the times when I saw a horror movie and couldn’t sleep, Abie was always there to make sure I was safe. In later years as adults, we were partners in business. During the summer Mike, Jeff and Ricky stayed with Judy and me as our support staff. I think Abie wanted to give them insight to the business world. Abe and I shared golf and fishing times. Once when he took me fishing, I slipped into the water and he “fished me out”. Boy did our mom give him the business when we got home. The best recall were the nights he “baby sat” me and our favorite dinner was winnies and beans, what he lacked in care taking was made up in his cooking skills. Many times working in New York, I looked forward to staying at their home in Rye. For Judy and I we really enjoyed our times with him and Jeanie at Atlantic City. He will always be Abie to me and I miss him, “keep collecting those coins like you did at Dad’s store, on your next adventure”. Brother Dave
