Al Ben-Ness' Obituary
Al Ben-Ness, 89, of Valencia Isles in Boynton Beach passed away Sunday April 29, 2018. Born in Baghdad, Al also lived in Tehran and Israel before coming to the Unites States. He was a professional photographer. He was instrumental in starting the Israel Club in Valencia Isles, and was a member of the Photography Club as well as active in the Citizens Observer Patrol (COPS). But Al’s greatest passion was for the Friends of Israel Disabled Veterans – Beit Halochem. The FDIV-Beit Halochem (House of Warriors) cares for Israeli servicemen and women wounded in the line of duty who are now disabled.
Married to his beloved wife of 54 years, Haviva, Al was also the devoted father of Sandra Ben-Ness Yadai and her husband Malkiel, and Lisa Levi and her husband Barry; the loving grandfather of Ariel, Jonathan, Danielle, Jordan, Tori, Noah, and Aaron; and dear brother of Itzhak. Chapel services are 1:00 PM Monday, April 30, 2018 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Rd., Boynton Beach, Florida 33437 followed by burial at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Boynton Beach.
