Alan Robert Drucker's Obituary
Alan Robert Drucker died early Sunday, April 12 in Delray Beach, Florida of renal failure, shortly after celebrating his 92nd birthday surrounded by family.
Alan was born on April 6, 1934, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Joseph and Beatrice (Strull) Drucker. He graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School and attended the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. Alan met the love of his life, Jayne Boehm, when he was 16 and she was 15, and they were married for 72 happy years. They relocated to Florida at the height of the space race and raised their 3 children in Orlando.
Alan was the founder and chief executive officer of Advanced Research and Development, Inc., a contract engineering firm based in Orlando that expanded to five offices across the southeast. In 1986, after putting his three children through college, he participated in the Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School.
A member of Temple Israel in Orlando, he was a generous supporter of the UJA-Jewish Federation as well as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Alan not only supported charities but his generosity enabled his family to achieve their dreams.
Alan was an avid reader, tennis player, skier, and solver of puzzles. He was a small plane pilot who loved flying his family all over the country. His quick wit and dry sense of humor were renowned. With Jayne and, very often, his children and grandchildren, he loved to travel, especially on cruises, and he visited every continent in the world except for Antarctica.
In addition to Jayne, Alan leaves daughter Donna Drucker Rapp (Bruce, deceased); son, Ken Drucker (Leslie Berger), and daughter Robin Drucker Blakely (Bruce). Grandchildren Erica Rapp Wilcoxson (Jay), Brian Rapp, Jacob Drucker (Lila Fried), Nathan Drucker (Hannah Smith), Bella Drucker, Rachel Blakely, Hannah Blakely (Lauren Ho), and great-grandchildren Lily Rapp and Oliver Wilcoxson. He was predeceased by his brother, Ernest Drucker (Jeri).
Services will be held Thursday, April 16, at Temple Israel Cemetery, 9200 Morton Jones Road, Gotha, Fl at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jewish National Fund (https://jnf.org).
Shiva will be held at the residence of Jayne Drucker on Sunday April 19, 2026,
from 4-8pm, with a Minyan service at 6pm.
