Alan Stuart Leitstein's Obituary
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Alan Stuart Leitstein, 81 years old, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Alan is survived by his wife, Barbara Leitstein, sons, Michael Leitstein and Brian Leitstein, daughter-in-law, Wendy Leitstein, grandchildren, Courtney Leitstein and Aaron Leitstein, nephews, Jon Bernstein and Robert Bernstein, four-pawed grandsons Kirby and Lincoln, close friends, and is predeceased by his sister, Barbara Elise Leitstein.
Alan was born on September 23, 1944, in Rochester, New York to Ann Klass and Myron Kornrich and raised by Ann and stepfather Murray Leitstein. Alan attended Bridgeport University and Syracuse University obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialization in Graphic Design. Alan and Barbara married on July 4, 1968, in Rochester, New York, and soon thereafter moved to South Florida to raise a family and continue his career as a Graphic Designer.
Alan was a dedicated parent and spouse who loved to laugh and make people laugh. He loved spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed traveling with his family to see relatives, friends, museums, historic landmarks, amusement parks, nature, and snow (for his children). Alan was truly a kid at heart who deeply loved his family. He will be profoundly missed by all his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel in Delray Beach on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 12pm.
