Mr. Albert Zaki Gamill, born on April 25, 1929, in Cairo, Egypt, peacefully passed away on February 26, 2025 in Highland Beach, Florida. He was surrounded by his loved ones during his final moments. Mr. Gamill, known to his friends and family as a dedicated and compassionate individual, leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Mr. Gamill pursued excellence in his education. He attended Ecole Cattaoui Pacha and Fouad Al Awal in Cairo, Egypt, for his primary and high school education. He furthered his studies at Cairo University, School of Engineering, where he honed his skills and knowledge.
Mr. Gamill's professional journey was marked by remarkable achievements and contributions. He dedicated ten years of his career to General Land Reclamation in Egypt from 1956 to 1966, playing a vital role in the development and improvement of the organization. Following this, he joined Blauvelt Engineering in New York from 1957 to 1969, where he continued to make significant contributions to the field.
In 1969, Mr. Gamill began working with the Department of Buildings, where he served diligently for eighteen years until 1987. His commitment to excellence and attention to detail were evident in his work, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues and superiors alike. After leaving the Department of Buildings, he founded Gamill Engineering, PC, and devoted his expertise to his own engineering firm until his retirement in 2013.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Gamill found joy and fulfillment in his hobbies. He had a passion for video editing, using his creative talents to capture and preserve cherished memories for his loved ones. Additionally, he found solace in swimming, enjoying the tranquility of the water and the physical activity it provided.
Mr. Gamill will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and friend. His kind heart, unwavering dedication, and contagious enthusiasm for life touched the lives of many. He leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
In honoring Mr. Gamill's wishes, a private ceremony will be held to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in his memory.
