Albert Movitz's Obituary
Albert Movitz, age 90, of Boynton Beach passed away on Wednesday June 22, 2016. He lived at Bridge View on the pond, then Windward Palms and then Brookdale Boynton. He always went by his Hebrew name, Raymie. Formerly of Brooklyn, New York, Albert has been a resident of Florida since 1989 and was the beloved husband of Miriam for 67 years; the devoted father of Neil (Laurie) Movitz and the late Mark Movitz; and the dear grandfather of Justin Movitz. Albert was a proud WWII veteran and was known for his vivid remembrances of his times in the Navy during his service. He enjoyed travel with his wife Miriam mostly in Europe, and enjoyed visiting museums and attending lectures. Nature and theater were their “thing” and both always looked forward to travelling to Colorado to visit with their son Neil. Chapel services will be held at 9:30AM on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Rd., Boynton Beach, Florida 33437 followed by interment in the South Florida National Cemetery with military honors.
