Alfred Geronemus' Obituary
Dr. Alfred Geronemus, born on March 1, 1925 in Brooklyn NY, son of the late Helen and Alexander Geronemus and the brother of the late Clement and Saul Geronemus. A graduate of the NYU School of Dentistry, he made his home initially in Hollywood,Florida and later in Boca Raton, Florida with his wife Terry of 67 years. He practiced Dentistry for close to 50 years in Hollywood. He was a Captain in US Army serving as a dentist to the first family in the Eisenhower administration. He is survived by his beloved wife Terry (Rosenbluth), his children Lynn (Geronemus) Bigelman, Roy and Gail(Urken) Geronemus and his grandchildren Jeffrey Bigelman, Jill (Bigelman) and Ramin Javahery, Joey and Sharone (Senk) Bigelman, Jessica (Bigelman) and Scott Shwedel, Evan and Ashley (Cornforth) Geronemus, and Greg and Katherine (Pier) Geronemus. He had 8 great grandchildren; Jonah, Ethan and Jacob Javahery, Noah, Ari, and Amelia Bigelman, Leah Shwedel, and Jackson Geronemus. He was adored by his family, patients and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the New York Stem Cell Foundation at 1995 Broadway, Suite 600, New York, NY 10023. Chapel services will be held on Friday June 5 at 12:15 PM at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, Florida, 33437. Interment to follow at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, Boynton Beach, Florida.
