Amy was a graduate of George Washington University and obtained her masters in social work at NYU. She worked as a medical social worker for several years until she became the guiding light for her three children. Amy and her family lived primarily on Long Island, until two years ago when they moved to Florida.
Amy passed away on July 3, 2021 at the age of 51. She is survived by her husband, Philip Capell, children Ian, Miles and Jade, parents Robert and Sula Pearlman, and sister Debbi Pearlman. Contributions may be made in memory of Amy to the Scleroderma Research Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
Amy was a loving, beautiful soul who was cherished by everyone who met her. She was an inspiration to all.
