Anne Louise Ehrlich, age 91, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away on June 29, 2025. Born and raised in Bayside, New York, she was the daughter of Dorothy and Larry and sister to Janet (Ron) and Jerry (Susan).
Anne and her beloved husband Joe, who passed away in 2007 after 52 years of marriage, raised two children, Ruth Ellen and Allan (Amy), and were proud grandparents to Aaron (Jen), David, and Molly. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, educator, and friend, Anne’s life was marked by love, resilience, and deep commitment to family and community.
She earned degrees from Adelphi University and the University of Connecticut and dedicated her career to early childhood education, eventually becoming the director of a Temple nursery school. Her work touched the lives of many children and families, blending her passion for teaching, reading, and Judaism.
Anne loved reading, was an ace Scrabble player, and enjoyed happy hour—always appreciating a good glass of white wine. She was fiercely loyal to her lifelong friends, cherishing the deep and enduring bonds they shared throughout the years. Known for her quirky wit, warm humor, and fierce independence, Anne held on to life with deep courage and determination until the very end.
She lived most recently in an assisted living community, where she was lovingly supported by her family and by Lauri, a trusted and caring companion who provided kindness and connection during Anne’s final months.
Anne will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 10:00am at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, 11520 FL-7, Boynton Beach, FL 33473.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne’s memory to the Simon Wiesenthal Center (www.wiesenthal.com), an organization that reflected her values and lifelong dedication to Jewish life and justice.
