Anne "Honey" Stern's Obituary
Anne “Honey” Stern, 90 of Boynton Beach, FL (formerly of Great Neck, NY) passed away peacefully on June 30, 2020. She was predeceased by her late husband, Ralph L. Stern in 1990. Survivors include her son, Michael (Gail) Stern; daughter, Roni (Steve) Glaser; grandchildren, Daniel (Elizabeth Klein) Glaser, Peter (Karen) Glaser, Emily Glaser, Samuel (Caryn) Stern, Rachel Stern, and her sister Sheila Ginsberg of Hartsdale, NY.
Anne was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. Shortly after her first child was born she moved with her family to Hollis, NY and later to Plainview, NY and Great Neck, NY before relocating to Florida in 2018. She graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and taught school in New York and became an elementary school guidance counselor. While teaching, she went back to school to earn her Master’s degree in Education from Queens’ College.
She will be greatly missed by all of her devoted friends. She enjoyed enjoyed the Palm Isles Bridge Club, the Osher Life Long Learning Institute at Florida Atlantic University and voracious reading.
Services were conducted by Rabbi Gordon Yaffe and Cantor Joshua Shron at Congregation L’Dor V’dor Oakland-Little Neck Jewish Center, Bayside-Douglaston, N.Y. on July 3, 2020 via Zoom. Interment was at Beth Moses Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Beth Israel Memorial Chapel.
