Annette Schein's Obituary
Annette Schein, age 82, of Delray Beach, Florida passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 26, 2020. Annette was born on Wednesday, November 17, 1937 in New York. Annette met her husband, Abner Schein, when they were teenagers. The two were married for 42 years. They had two children together, Barry and Steven. Annette, known as Nanny to her grandchildren, saw family as the most important part of her life. She was always one to bring her family together, eager when her grandchildren were all young to do art projects, make ceramics, and cook together. Annette had an incredible eye for precision and was known to all that loved her as the most organized person that they knew. Her organization and thoughtfulness were synonymous with her actions —she was the first person to call on a birthday and the first person to wish you congratulations on success. She would say that she gave each grandchild the attention that she felt they needed and she lived her life getting to know each one individually. We knew Nanny for both her kindness and boldness, her meatloaf, her back scratches, her artwork and creativity, her cursive handwriting, and her “huggels and kissels.” She leaves behind her two sons, Barry and Steven Schein, her long-term partner Joseph Feder, her two sisters Arlene Lipson and Frances Pflag, her two daughter-in-laws Abby Schein and Leigh Seldin Schein, and her six grandchildren Nicole, Jessica, Alex, Andrew, Alison and Charlie. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
