Arlene lived a vibrant and purpose-filled life marked by family, creativity, and travel. She was a wife to her beloved husband Larry, and together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. She cherished her role as mother to Glenda and Liz, and took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who carry her legacy forward.
An educator at heart and a performer in spirit, Arlene was a teacher, actress, singer, writer, and lifelong learner. Whether on stage in community theater productions or in the classroom where her students were her audience, she brought passion and joy to everything she did.
She was deeply committed to Jewish life and community. She served as Sisterhood President at Rosedale Jewish Center and later became a pillar of Hadassah in Florida, leading chapters, editing newsletters, performing in fundraising shows, and facilitating beloved study groups. Her devotion to faith was woven into her daily life, especially through her connection to Temple Beth Kodesh.
In addition to her communal work, she cared deeply for her family—serving as a devoted caregiver to her mother and her husband during their final years. Later in life, she lived with joy and purpose, surrounded by dear friends, traveling the world, and celebrating life with resilience and gratitude.
A funeral will be held on June 16th at 12:15pm at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, located at 11115 Jog Rd, Boynton Beach, FL 33437 followed by burial at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, located at 11520 FL-7, Boynton Beach, FL 33473 with Rabbi Michael Simon officiating.
