Arnold Bressler's Obituary
Arnold Bressler, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away on October 17, 2019.Arnold was born in New York City on June 29, 1933. He was the second child of Lillian and Sol Bressler. Arnold often reminisced about growing up and helping in his parents’ deli in Washington Heights. After high school, he joined the Navy and served four years during the Korean War. Upon returning, he earned his degree in Business from NYU. Arnold then went to work in the rental car industry. He eventually started his own business, Homestead Rent A Car, which he successfully ran for over 20 years. During that time, Arnold had many celebrities and sports stars come into his office. He also got to meet Richard Nixon while he was president and had the opportunity to go aboard Air Force One. He proudly employed many veterans, some of whom could not find work elsewhere.He had a remarkable work ethic and enjoyed working until he was 80 years old.Arnold loved playing cards and board games and he was a huge sports fan.He was also an avid reader of books and newspapers.Arnold was a friend to all and had a tremendous sense of humor. Arnold was pre-deceased by his siblings, Abe and Florence. He is survived by his wife, Ronnie Bressler, his son, Kyle Bressler, MD, his daughter-in-law, Charlotte Bressler, DPT, and his grandchildren, Liam, Max, and Kara. Arnold often said his favorite activity was watching his grandchildren grow up. He will be sorely missed. His service will be held at 12:15 pm on October, 20, 2019 at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach, Florida.In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Humane Society in his honor.
