Barbara Dymkowski's Obituary
Once a proud cancer survivor, Barbara Dymkowski passed away on December 12, 2020 after a heroic battle with cancer. She passed peacefully and with dignity while surrounded by loving family.
Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1944, Barbara grew up in Queens, NY until moving to New Jersey in 1969. She resided briefly in Newark, NJ and West Caldwell, NJ before living in Roseland, NJ for 34 years. There, she was active in the community.
More recently since 2009, Barbara and her surviving husband of 51 years, Arthur, enjoyed retirement in Wellington, FL.
Barbara was mother to two sons, Joseph (Stacy) of Wellington, FL, and Isaac of Marietta, GA. “Nonie” adored her five grandchildren Rayna, Jacob, Ethan, Asher and Micah. She is survived by siblings Alan Baruch of Punta Gorda, FL and Elisa Malkman (Richard) of Richmond, VA. In addition to her tightly knit immediate family, she was equally proud to be part of an even larger family including nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Barbara’s family was her greatest source of pride and her lasting legacy.
In deference to Covid restrictions, a private burial will be held. A memorial service will be planned in the future.
The family would encourage donations in Barbara’s memory to charity, including the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org) or other admirable organizations such as Ronald McDonald House Charities or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
