Barbara Mullen's Obituary
Barbara Mullen passed away on Monday, June 9th in Boynton Beach, FL at the age of 75. She is survived by her husband, L. Brian Mullen, her children Jody Gillanders (John), Cindy Flint, (Mike), Kendra Farmer and Richard Mullen (Polly); her grandchildren Jacklyn and Mitchell Gillanders, Erin Sullivan, Sean and Caitlin Flint, Ryan, Peyton and Cameron Farmer, Lucas and Amalia Mullen; great-grandchildren Jane Sullivan, Connor, Hayley and Caroline Flint, Carter and Willow Farmer; siblings Laurie Lavinsky (Mark), Bonnie Engelson (Marc) and Jason Rosenzweig (Stefanie), and many loving nieces and nephews.
Barbara was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived most of her adult life in McLean, Va. She moved to Boynton Beach, FL in 2017 and soon after retired from a 40 year-long career in Mortgage Banking. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing canasta with her many friends in the Hunters Run community.
Barbara was loved, admired and respected by all who knew her. She devoted her life to her family and friends and cherished her role as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Funeral services will be held on June 11th at 1:45 at the Beth Israel Memorial Chapel in Boynton Beach, followed by a graveside burial at the Eternal Light Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life will be held in the Northern Virginia area at a later date.
