Barbara Sobel's Obituary
Barbara Fruman Sobel , Age 86 Born November 11, 1936 in Bronx, NY passed away January 13, 2023 peacefully at her home in Boynton Beach, FL accompanied by family and friends.
Barbara, beloved wife of Bernie who predeceased her is survived by her nieces Gloria and Suzanne and her cousins Barry Forman, Murray Gereboff, Joel Gereboff, Roslyn Jacobovitz, her sons Harry and Martin Jacobovitz, Dr. Jeffrey Sutton and his sister Marsha Cohen.
Barbara graduated Hunter College Phi Beta Kappa and went on to earn her masters degree in mathematics. She was math teacher ‘extraoninaire’ at Evander Childs High School in the Bronx for over 25 years.
She and Bernie enjoyed family, traveling and their many friends. Barbara also enjoyed theater, playing cards and mahjong.
She will be missed by all who knew her in her glory days.
