Bernard Goffin's Obituary
Goffin – Bernard (Bernie) passed away at age 91 on December 1, 2025, in Boca Raton, FL.
Beloved late husband of 66 years to Idei Goffin (Perlman), whom he met on a blind date in 1954. They were married in 1957 and built a life together until her passing in December of 2023. He is survived by three sons and their wives: Jay Goffin and Ellen Kaplan Goffin of Schaumburg, IL, Gary Goffin and Marci Sindell of Needham, MA, David Goffin and Jody Sabah Goffin of Encino, CA and grandchildren, Rachel, Noah, Andrew, Isaac, Zachary and Gabriel.
Bernie was born in New Haven, CT and lived in Cheshire and Trumbull, CT until retiring to Boca Raton. He was the manager of the former Paramount Theatre in downtown New Haven and later graduated from Southern Connecticut State in 1962 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (concentration on elementary education of grades 1 – 6).
Bernie began his career in public education as a middle school math teacher in Fairfield, CT. He received graduate degrees from Fairfield University in 1968 (Master of Arts degree in Education) and 1973 (Certificate of Advanced Studies in Education) and during his studies transitioned to school administration in Monroe, CT.
Bernie enjoyed reading, tracking the stock market, watching sports, and having FaceTime calls and visits with his grandchildren.

A service and entombment will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 10:45 a.m. at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Boynton Beach, FL, followed by a private shiva.
