Bertram J. Bell's Obituary
Bertram J. Bell, 90, husband of Florence Bell for almost 70 years, died Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 at Delray Medical Center, Delray Beach, FL. A native of New York, he was the son of the late Abraham and Clara Bell. He was an Armed service member during the Korean War and went on to become the Vice President at Bank of America.
He was man of great faith, from a tribe of Israel that were historically rabbis. He loved to play tennis, watch sports, go swimming, and admire his grandchildren and great grandchildren that lovingly called him "Poppy". He cherished nothing more than spending time with his beloved Florence, who has been at his side since he was 16 years old after asking her to dance for the first time.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one brother, Nat (Gail) Bell; one daughter, Madelyn Connally and one son, Michael (Susan) Bell; five grandchildren, Lauren (Mitch) McCurdy, Bobby (Emily) Connally, Andrew (Christina) Bell, Alyssa (Thad) Johnson, and Matthew Bell; two great grandsons, Theo Johnson and Noah Connally, and two great granddaughters, Winnie McCurdy and Maggie Johnson; one brother-in-law, Marvin Klein; one nephew, Steven (Amy) Klein; one great nephew Joshua (Ashleigh) Klein; and many more cousins and cherished friends.
His entombment will be at the Eternal Light Memorial Gardens and a celebration of life will take place in the future to honor and commemorate the amazing man that left an impact on everyone he met.
Arrangements were entrusted to Beth Israel Memorial Chapel.
