Bette was my mom’s best friend for so many years. They were roommates in nursing school and maintained their friendship for their entire lives. She became know to me as “Aunt Bette” and I’ll cherish my childhood memories with her and her family. I hope the family feels some comfort knowing that her best friend is waiting for her with open arms and a loving heart. My condolences to the Hershman family.
