Betty Sal Koenig's Obituary
Betty Sal Koenig of Delray Beach, Florida passed away on June 19, 2026, just short of her 99th birthday. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Gilbert Koenig, to whom she was married for 74 years; the loving mother of Emily Neuberger (Henry), Barbara Kahn (James) and Peggy Koenig (Francis Byrne); cherished grandmother of Jeffrey Neuberger (Kristin), Jamie Litoff (Eli), Adam Kahn (Hillary Howard), Peter Kahn, Zachary Kahn (Pamela Singh), Katherine Graves and Hannah Hilton (Jamie); and adoring great-grandmother of Leo Neuberger, Brooklyn Neuberger, JJ Litoff, Cory Litoff, Marcia Kahn, Fay Kahn, Avi Kahn, Gia Kahn and Mia Hilton. Betty was a proud graduate of New York University, and she will be remembered for breaking down barriers in the workplace long before the women’s rights movement. Chapel services will be held at 10:15 am on Wednesday June 24, 2026, at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, Florida 33437. Interment will be at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, Florida 33449.
