Blanche V. Freund, Ph.D. RN
Blanche Freund of Boynton Beach, Florida was born on March 13, 1938, and died on May 1, 2025, after a brief cancer illness. She is predeceased by her husband, Matthew and her parents, Eva Steinberg and Arthur Bergenstein.
She leaves behind her much-loved daughter, Liza Greenberg, her stepdaughter, Carmel Kostolitz, her stepson, Gilead Freund, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren in the United States and Israel.
Blanche was a strong and committed woman who continued work as a psychologist and a supervisor of graduate students at the University of Miami psychology department until her last month. She had a great love for nature, wildlife, and her many pets over her lifetime. She was also an avid traveler, adventurer, and birder. Blanche was a continuing supporter of women’s rights, the democratic principles of government, and of Israeli causes.
