I became his friend when he moved into my neighborhood. I introduced to him my friends who lived nearby. He was always a gentleman even as a youngster. We shared a lot of experiences together but since I was older and moved away, we lost touch. Too bad. I will always remember his graciousness. Parkinsons has always been my concern and I have been in touch with Michael J. Fox from time to time.

Buzz was more than a manager to me. He was a mentor and a friend. My relationship with Buzz began between him and my father back during the good old Gruntal days when I was just a kid. One thing my father always told me was that Buzz was someone you could always trust. Buzz and I talked business and played fantasy football, but mostly talked about family. His family was clearly the most important to him. Buzz was always so approachable despite his immense stature. He was there for me when my father passed with not only a caring heart but with sage advice and wisdom that only a person with his heart and experience could have. Buzz was a big teddy bear, I will miss him and I am glad I knew him. I know that some of his knowledge and compassion seeped in.
My sincerest condolences,
Eric Richter
When Steve and I joined Middle Bay Steve wanted to become a better gin player. Buzz got him into a game.
After a few weeks some of the guys complained about his game. Buzz told them to leave Steve alone. He is the best golfer there and he never complained about their golf game and even gives them strokes. He told them they all play cards with Steve and take his money so give him a break and he will improve.
They never picked. On Steve again . His game improved and Buzz was his hero. This remains Steve’s favorite “how to be a mensh” story.
Buzz is the only one who could call me Benita Zelda. He was the Big Guy.He told the best jokes and kept us hysterical laughing.we spent many summers driving 7 hours to Camp Winaukee and Mataponi.we ate the rugalah as soon as the car left the driveway.David treasures the worry stone Buzz gave him. David didn’t have to worry about anything. The trip was planned and we had a fun time . Singing songs with a color in it was a favorite.Buzz had a favorite line ....count me in. We always thought about a trip or activity and that was his response.dear Buzz you will be so missed.Hoping you will find a good half court game. With so much love Bonnie and david
