Cantor Emil Berkovits, 82, of Delray Beach and formerly of Boynton Beach passed away Wednesday July 24, 2019 surrounded by his family. Cantor Berkovits was born in what is now Sturovo, Slovakia. He has was the cantor at Congrega Read Obituary

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of this wonderful man. A man with a golden voice and an equally golden heart.I remember when he first came to Omaha to Beth Israel Synagogue as a young man. He was a pleasure to work with in preparing me for my Bat Mitzvah and seeing me through it. When he moved over to Beth El Synagogue in Omaha a few years later and I ran into him, he remembered me very well!He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
