Bob Atkins
My name is Bob Atkins and I was on the Board of Directors of The Bermuda House when we started using David as our preferred plumbing contractor. In fact we gave his contact information to all of our Unit Owners so they would all use him as well. It quickly became apparent that David was good at what he did but beyond that he was friendly and everyone really liked him. I had an immediate connection with David as I had been part of a family owned plumbing business in NY earlier in my career and then held senior Management positions at Kohler and Grohe Faucets before my retirement. I knew a lot of the wholesalers in Florida and I used to get some hard-to-get Grohe parts for David when he needed them. I also contracted him for all of my personal plumbing needs when I did a complete remodel and a water heater, etc. David never disappointed and was always there when needed.
David's passing came as a real shock to me when I heard about it. He was a very special person...always there to help and always with a smile on his face. I considered David a friend and we had many discussions about how hard the plumbing business is and I'm really going to miss him. My thoughts and prayers go out to Wendy and Ryan during this difficult time.
