David P. Rockmuller's Obituary
David Peter Rockmuller, 86, of St. Petersburgh, Florida, passed away on January 29th, 2023 at Suncoast Hospice surrounded by his family after fighting a brief illness.
He was born on November, 9th 1936, in New York City. He was the son of late Julius and Helen Rockmuller. David was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Rockmuller, whom he married on August 22nd, 1965.
David served in the United States Army Reserves in 1957 (PVT-2) and 1962 (SP4). He was also a graduate of Queens College. After college, David began his 33 year career as a pharmaceutical salesman. During his career, David met many dear friends who he stayed in contact with throughout the years.
He is survived by his son Steven Rockmuller and grand dog Hope of St. Petersburgh, Florida. His daughter Debby (Chris) Seybert of Erie, Pennsylvania. His granddaughter Alyssa (Adam) Silvis of Erie, Pennsylvania, and a great grandson Eli David Silvis, whom he is named after. He is also survived by many cherished brother and sister in laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
David had a heart of gold and was loved by everyone he met. He had a passion for golfing, he loved to play cards and he enjoyed having breakfast with his friends. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his wife, David was preceded in death by his sister, Sunny Mendelsohn.
The family would like to extend their many thanks to the staff at Suncoast Hospice for the excellent care they gave to David.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in David’s name to Suncoast Hospice Mid-Pinellas Care Center 6770 102nd Ave N. Pinellas Park, Florida 33782.
There will be a graveside service on Friday February 3rd, at 9:30am at the South Florida National Cemetery 6501 Fl-7 Lake Worth, Florida 33449. Please use lane 3.
