Dennis was one of my professors at MSU in the math department. I took MTH 841,842,843. Boundary Value Problems. Terrific teacher and great guy. I didn't stick around long enough to get the PhD but I did get the Masters. I remember him and MSU fondly. Condolences to his family.
Dennis was such a memorable person - he had so much spirit and approached everything he cared about with zest and determination. As his son Mike's close friend, I had a chance to see him several times over the years and can see why he made such a difference in people's lives. I send my deepest condolences to his family at this time of loss.
