Devora Weinberger's Obituary
Devora Rosenbloom Weinberger, age 91, died after a short time living with cancer, on January 14, 2020 at TrustBridge in Delray Beach, FL.
Devora is survived by Harvey Weinberger, her devoted husband of 70 years, of Delray Beach, FL. She is also survived by four loving children, Laurie Shatzer, Amy Cummings, Helene Lederer, and Howard Weinberger.
She is preceded in death by her parents Herman and Rae Rosenbloom, and brothers Leonard, David, and Milton of blessed memory.
Devora was born on January 7, 1929 in Bronx, NY. She and Harvey were married in 1949.
In 1965 Devora and and her family moved to Hagerstown, MD. There, Devora (known and loved as Debby) was very active in her community, including teaching religious school and serving as sisterhood president at B’nai Abraham Synagogue. Debby and Harvey spent many happy retirement years in Delray Beach, FL always enriching their lives and doing what they loved.
Along the way, Debby’s family expanded to include her children’s loving spouses and 10 joyous grandchildren and more spouses, and in recent years 3 perfect great grandchildren.
Debby will be remembered by family and friends for her warmth, kindness, and good works.
A funeral service will be held on January 17 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, FL.
