Donald Edelman's Obituary
Donald Edelman (Don) passed away on Tuesday May 23 at the age of 85 in his hometown of Boca Raton, Fl.
Don was one of the founding fathers of Cable TV, a proud member of the Cable TV Pioneers Hall of Fame.
Starting in the industry in 1968, Don became President of RMS Electronics in 1974 which became listed on the American Stock Exchange in 1978.
In 1985 Don came out of retirement to launch PDI Communications Inc (PDI). Today PDI is the number one provider of DIRECTV and Hotel TVs to the Hospitality industry.
Don was born to Ida and Leo Edelman in 1937 in the Bronx NY. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Barbara, sons, Leonard (Cathy), Michael , Jonathan, 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and beloved sister Karen (Warren).
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday May 30th 11am at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel 11115 Jog Rd Boynton Beach, Fl 33437. Burial directly following at Eternal Light Cemetery 11520 ST RTE 7 Boynton Beach, Fl 33473
A celebration of life lunch will be held for family and friends at Stonebridge Country Club afterwards.
SHIVA to be held on Wednesday May 31st from 2 to 8pm at the home of Michael Edelman at 4266 NW 62nd Rd, Boca Raton, Fl 33496.
