DONALD R. KOLPAN's Obituary
On Wednesday, July 29,2020, Donald R. Kolpan, Brother, Loving and Devoted Husband, Beloved Father, Honored Grandfather, Brother in Law and friend to many, passed away at the age of 78.
Donald was born on January 24,1942 in Bronx N.Y. to Murray and Jean Kolpan. He graduated from Woodbridge High School June 17,1959. Then in November of 1959 he entered The Navy and held a rank CT3 until his discharge in January of 1963. He then held a position in the intelligence field. After his time served, on May 30,1965 he married Linda S. Lipper. They raised four children together, Blair, Marni, Meesha and Farrin. He owned and operated his commercial laundry and drycleaning business, Sunrise Laundry and Dry Cleaners, later deciding to move to Florida, he sold his business and moved to Boynton Beach FL.
He took a job with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office running the jail's laundry. After over 20 years, many great new friendships and several family memories he went into full retirement living a very happy and fulfilled life with his wife Linda of 55 years. Donald leaves behind his wife Linda Kolpan, children Blair and wife (Grisselly) Kolpan, Marni Dean, Meesha Kolpan and Farrin and fianceé (Heather) Kolpan. Grandchildren Linkin Dean, Rylee Kolpan, Zaadin Dean. He also leaves behind his brother Howie and his wife (Fran) Kolpan and sister Roz and (the late Harvey) Schrier and brother-in-law Mark Lipper, as well as two nieces and three nephews. There are also many cousins all who loved Donald very much for the kind and gentle person he was. Private Services will be 1:30 PM on Sunday, August 9,2020. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Dan Marino Center for Autism or YAD Hebrew School for kids with special abilities.
