Dad, you made your wishes clearNo belabored ceremony, just “take me to the hole”, let people say what they want and go live, as life is for the livingWe honor that spirit and welcome anyone to say/type or think about words/memories they had with you.My Dad himself was a man of few words, lived a loyal/respectful style of life, with the main concern to be a providerHe had several key loves: his family, fishing, gardening, listening to Jazz Clarinet, playing cards, hanging with buddies, the excitement of gambling and the stock marketDad, thank you for the lessons, for the love, for the time, for the smiles and along with Mom putting us on the path to be who we are today.I am truly relieved you are finally at peace, was a rough few months there. Mom, we love you, what you did over the last several years to care for Dad and especially over the last few months took incredible courage and strength.Dad, you are in and will always be in us, in our hearts and minds. Imagining that in heaven you are waste deep in the Beaverkill River right now, a hatch is on and you are flycasting a Walt Dette-tied March Brown fly, angling for a big Brook Trout. Catch (and release) a big one Dad.Rest in peace, miss you.
