Donald Wint's Obituary
Donald Wint, born on September 9, 1933, in Scranton, PA, passed away on February 3, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Bonnie Wint, and his cherished children, Elise Wint Friedman, Jeffrey Wint, Son in law Michael Friedman , and daughter in law Faith Wint. Donald leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, evident in his 8 grandchildren: Jacob, Caleb, Emmett, Asa, Joe, Melanie, Marly, and Emily.
A graduate of MIT in Electrical Engineering in 1955, Donald embarked on a distinguished career that spanned decades in the field. Beginning from an entry-level electrical engineering position, he steadily climbed the ranks, ultimately assuming management and supervisory roles until his retirement. Donald's leadership skills were unparalleled, as he successfully managed numerous projects involving systems engineering, often overseeing teams of up to 500 individuals.
Beyond his professional achievements, Donald was defined by his unwavering commitment to his family. The devoted son of Etta and Louis Wint, he was a husband, father, and grandfather which brought him immeasurable joy, and he was always eager to offer his support and assistance whenever needed.
Donald's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His love, kindness, and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him. Though he may no longer be with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
A funeral chapel service will be held at 11:15am on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 5808 West Atlantic Blvd. Delray Beach, FL 33484.Entombment to follow at 12:15pm at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 11520 State Road 7 Boynton Beach, FL 33473.
