Dorothy Janin 93, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away on November 29, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Janin and by her son, Robert Janin. Survivors include her son, Russell Janin; daughters, Michelle (Steven) Read Obituary
I am so sorry to learn that Dorothy has passed away. She and I became friends when we were both teaching at Centennial High School. I quickly learned that she was the single best reading teacher I ever saw. She was amazing. Kids who could not read after 10 years in school learned how to read after a single year with Dottie. And those kids adored her, as did most of the faculty. She was a delight. I value her friendship.
Dear the Janin family: Our thoughts, prayers and sympathies are with you all on the loss of Dorothy. She was truly an amazing and respected person, who made such a difference in the Hauppauge community which was greatly appreciated. I was honored that she was able to attend our Honey Hollow 50th Anniversary Reunion and visit with us.
