Edna Zohar's Obituary
Edna Zohar passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 76. She leaves behind her husband Yigal, two daughters, Sharon Zohar and Tammy Zohar Lyman; one son-in-law, Christopher; one sister, Judith Koren; two nieces, Anat and Yael; two step-grandchildren, one great-aunt, many cousins, and close friends who became family.
Edna was born in Hungary, fled to Israel as a child, met and married her husband at the age of 18 and they moved to NY that same year. Even though she barely finished high school, she started as a bank teller and 20 years later, she was a vice president at Chase Manhattan Bank. Edna and Yigal retired to Florida in their 50s. Edna loved reading and became a life master in bridge. She loved to travel, enjoyed good food and drink, and cultivated lifelong friendships. Chapel services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 11th at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, FL 33437. Edna will be laid to rest following her funeral service at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, 11520 State Road 7, Boynton Beach, FL 33473.
