Edward Essner's Obituary
Dr. Edward Essner, 88, of Boynton Beach passed away Tuesday June 16, 2015. Edward was a research biologist and received his Ph.D. in biology from the University of Pennsylvania. His career spanned working at the National Institutes of Health, Sloan-Kettering, the Einstein Medical Institute, and most recently, the Kresge Eye Institute in Michigan. Dr. Essner is the beloved husband of Tamara, to whom he was married for 57 years; the devoted father of Camilla and Nadine; and the grandfather of Jenna, Jacob, Joshua, David, Marina, and Arielle. Funeral services and burial will take place in Sharon Gardens, Valhalla, NY. Beth Israel Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with all the arrangements.
