Edward Franklin Mercer's Obituary
Ed Mercer - 71, of Delray Beach, FL, passed away on June 13, 2020. Survivors include his loving son, Micah Paul Mercer, and his beloved granddaughter, Carlee Mercer, both of Delray Beach, Florida; as well as two sisters. He also leaves behind his good friend and brother-in-law, three nephews and their children who loved "Uncle Ed" as a second grandpa.... He will be missed!
Born and raised in Dunedin, Florida - Ed spent most of his adult life in Nashville, Tennessee working as an Inhalation Therapist. Throughout his career he demonstrated that he sincerely loved his patients and he earned the respect and friendship of his many coworkers. Ed had great compassion for all of those in his care, and tended to each one as though he or she was his own parent or loved one.
Ed was a faithful follower of Christ, and also a proud American. He will be buried with military honors at South Florida National Cemetery, the resting place for his earthly remains, while his spirit lives on in Glory. Until we meet again, thank you - Ed - for your impact in our lives.
