ELEANOR B. KAY
Eleanor B. Kay, 98, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 19, 2023. Eleanor was raised in Brooklyn and was an excellent student excelling in both academics and sports. Graduating two years early from Lafayette High School, Eleanor attended business school developing skills that allowed her to work in NY's fashion industry as a secretary and sometimes model. After meeting Murray Kay, the love of her life, they waited for the war to end before marrying. Murray became a furniture manufacturer and in the mid '50's and they moved to Miami to start up Kimberly Furniture Manufacturing. Eleanor was a member of Temple B'nai Raphael in the Norland section of Miami where she was president of the sisterhood. She also lived at the Park Place condominium for many years in Pembroke Pines. Eleanor leaves her beloved children Ken and Jennifer Kay of Boynton Beach and Dvira Rubin of Boca Raton and Jerusalem, 9 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday November 21, 2023 at Beth Israel Chapel, 11115 Jog Rd., Boynton Beach, FL 33437. Interment will be private. Contributions in memory may be made to the Valencia Pointe Chapter of the PapCorps.
