Eleanor "Ellie" Vogt's Obituary
Eleanor (Ellie) Feldman Prigerson Vogt of Royal Palm Beach, FL, passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born on December 13, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY, where they grew up. Ellie moved to Staten Island, NY, in 1971 and then subsequently moved to Florida in 1989.
Ellie worked as a nursing home administrator for many years in both NY and Florida, and then in her later years before retirement she enjoyed working for Weight Watchers as a receptionist.
She was actively involved in volunteering for various organizations. In Staten Island, she was an Emergency Medical Technician for a volunteer ambulance group (VHRU) for many years. In Florida, she volunteered with the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program, and in her later years with Wellington Cares (now called Our Community Cares FL), a program that was very dear to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Min and Sam Feldman, and husband Henry (Hank) Vogt.
She is survived by her brother Jerry Feldman, children Melissa Allen, and Michele and Michael Malkin; grandchildren Stephanie and Dan Meier, Sam and Jenellee Malkin, and Matthew Malkin, as well as great-grandchildren Zoey Meier and Gage Meier, Autumn Malkin and soon to be born baby boy Malkin, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ellie had an amazing talent for crochet, and she made sure that every baby born into the family or to friends received beautiful blankets. She also made and donated blankets for Project Linus and to seniors courtesy of Wellington Cares. She had a great love for dogs, especially her late rescue dogs Max and Lacie. She spent much time caring for her many plants. She had a green thumb; she especially excelled at keeping orchids flowering, and she absolutely loved butterflies.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Michele and Michael’s home on January 10, 2026 from 1-5pm. Please contact Michele or Melissa for exact location.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Ellie’s memory to Big Dog Rescue Ranch or Wellington Cares.
