ELLEN GOLDSTEIN's Obituary
Ellen Goldstein, 83, of Boca Raton, FL passed away Tuesday July 7, 2020. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and spent most of her life in the New York City area, having moved with her husband Sidney to Southeast Florida in 2002. Ellen received her Masters in Education from Fairfield University and took pride in education, first as a teacher in elementary school and then, combining her love of learning with the performing arts, as a teacher of dance. This passion continued into her retirement as she enjoyed volunteering as a Hadassah instructor teaching Bat-Mitzvah lessons to those reaching this important Jewish milestone later in life. Her impact on these women remained a source of joy to Ellen as the friendships carried on for years after the classes ended. Ellen will be remembered as the religious and culture keeper of her family, a loyal and caring friend, and the woman with a song in her heart. Ellen leaves her loving family; husband Sidney of 63 years; daughters Jodi (Fred) Rothman and Heidi (Gary) Aronson, and son Andrew (Elke) Goldstein; cherished grandchildren Lecia Rothman, Alie Rothman, Shane (Abbe) Aronson, Kayla Aronson, Lauren Goldstein and Justin Goldstein; great granddaughter Aspen Aronson; and brother Bert Haber. Her dear daughter, Leslie Goldstein, and brother, Cecil Haber, pre-deceased her. A private service will take place at the gravesite.
