Ellen Ray's Obituary
Today we lost the beautiful Ellen Ray, 71, after a 20-year courageous battle with breast cancer. Ellen was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Michael, and three sons, Peter, Brian, Eric, and their wives Anna, Allison, and Juliet. Her grandchildren Sammie, Maxwell, Alex, Hailey and Sydney-who brought her endless happiness-called her “Mammar.” Sister to Larry and Jack Schnitt and their wives Elden and Geraldine and children Todd, Drew, Jill and Lindsey.
Ellen was an incredibly talented artist, teacher, and designer. She was a warm and caring friend to so many people, and devoted her life to her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and kindness to all of those whose lives she touched.
Funeral arrangements will be held this Wednesday at 1 PM at Temple Beth El in West Palm Beach followed by the burial at Eternal Light cemetery in West Boynton.
Shiva is being observed at the Ray family home at 137 Abondance Dr., Palm Beach Gardens on Wednesday and Thursday evening at 7 PM and Thursday and Friday during the day from noon to 4 PM.
Donations in Ellen’s memory can be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation as well as Loggerhead Marine Life Center for Sea Turtle Rescue.
