I have so many memories of my beloved Aunt Eunice. When I was a child in Brooklyn, I loved when she would babysit for me and my sister Ellen. She would let me have as many bowls of Sugar Pops I could ever want (and I wanted many).
Our families took many memorable road trip vacations together throughout my childhood, made more memorable with Aunt Eunice’s presence. She just had a way of making me feel a little safer somehow.
In those years I saw my aunt as warm, fun and truly beautiful. In my eyes, she looked just like cousin Serena on Bewitched. In adulthood, I continued to feel her warmth and love, but also became acutely aware of her keen, creative mind. We worked on difficult crossword puzzles together and she seemed to know all the answers.
Eunice faced many challenges throughout her life and always found a way to make the most of the situation and soldier through it all.
In her last years at Boulevard, she did her best to enhance the environment for herself, the staff and the other residents. I can say with confidence that she will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Love you, Aunt Eunie ❤️
