Gary Hugh Levin (1940-2025)
Gary Hugh Levin, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, at the age of 84 in Boca Raton, Florida. Born on December 13, 1940, in Hartford, Connecticut, Gary’s life was marked by a deep love for his family, his friends, and his community. He is fondly remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and infectious sense of humor.
Gary was a lifelong resident of Connecticut until relocating to Boca Raton in 2014 with his beloved wife, Amy (Nair) Levin. Together, they enjoyed 59 years of marriage, building a life rich in love and memories, surrounded by a community of family and dear friends. Gary and Amy raised two children, and his legacy of devotion and support will live on through them and his grandchildren.
After earning his degree from Boston University, Gary enjoyed a successful career. After years in sales and business management, he entered the financial services industry, where he was highly respected for his professionalism and integrity. He was known for his personal commitment to helping others, a trait that earned him the admiration of both colleagues and clients throughout his career.
Outside of his professional life, Gary was a passionate sports enthusiast. He was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox, the New York Giants, the Patriots and UCONN Huskies Basketball. He relished spending time with his family, attending sporting events, supporting local restaurants, days on the golf course and afternoons in the card room. He adored musicals and Broadway shows, and often had soundtracks playing in the background as he enjoyed his cigars. He had an unparalleled ability to connect with others, whether through a conversation, a shared laugh, or simply offering support in times of need.
Gary’s family was his greatest joy. In addition to his wife Amy, he leaves behind his beloved children, daughter and son-in-law Suzanne & Bennett Winick, son David and daughter-in-law Nancy Levin, and cherished grandchildren Elie & Jonathan Winick and Jane & Sam Levin, as well as his sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Michael Seder and niece Julianne and her husband Seth Weiner and their children Ben & Bria.
