Brindis, George, 97, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away January 3, 2016. Beloved husband of Phyllis; father of Lewis, Sam (Sandra) & Carol (David) Tivoli; grandfather of Leah (fiancee Bryan Reeves) Tivoli, Sarah Tivoli, Benjamin Brindis, and Jasper Brindis; brother of Leslie (Anita) Brindis. George was active with the following organizations; Board of Directors of Family Mutual Bank in Haverhill, Haverhill Public Library Trustee, Board Member of Haverhill Red Cross, on the Board of Boy Scouts of America, President & Director of the Rotary Club, Residence Council of Indian Springs, Coach of Little League Baseball with the YMCA PAL, President of Temple Emeth, President of Temple Beth Kodesh, President and long term member of B’nai B’rith, avid supporter in a leadership position of the Jewish Federation, avid supporter of running campaign for Bonds for Israel, avid supporter of Ben-Gurion University, provided Friday service and lay counseling as Jewish Chaplain. George received awards for his hard work such as B’nai B’rith Citizen of the Year and Bonds for Israel & Jewish Federation awarded him multiple awards for his support. George was also passionate about golf which he played from age 10 until he died and acquiring 4 holes in ones in his life time. A chapel service will be held 11:00am on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, Florida. Interment will follow at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, Boynton Beach, Florida.
