Gertrude Friedman's Obituary
Gertrude “Gert” Friedman, resident of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022, at the age of 92. Gert was a warm, loving and kind-hearted lady who always put family first. Gert was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than 65 years, Jerry.
Gert was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. Gert and Jerry moved to Edison, New Jersey, where Gert worked for many years as an educator before retiring to Boca Raton, Florida.
Gert is survived by her son and daughter in law, Ken and Rhonda Friedman, four grandchildren, Jill (Neal) Bennett, Aimee (Darren) Perlmutter, Dawn (Harley) Kesselman and Ashley (Eric) Goldman, and three great grandchildren, Amelia Kesselman, Rachel Goldman and Matilda Perlmutter.
A cryptside service will take place at 12:15 pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach. Those wishing to honor Gert’s memory with a memorial contribution are kindly asked to consider a charity related to Alzheimer’s disease.
